Focus On What Should Truly Matter

With all of the stress and worries you have to face on a daily basis, you might tend to forget what should matter most in your life. That’s why you might need a little reminder from time to time of what things you should cherish the most. Your happiness shouldn’t depend on how much money you make, or what position you have at work or how many square feet your house is. I really love this very famous quote by Lucius Annaeus Seneca, who said that “Life’s like a play: it’s not the length, but the excellence of acting that matters.”

Mahatma Gandhi once said that “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny,” and he couldn’t be more right! Your values shape your world and influence the way you perceive things. Learn to be true to yourself and to others because this is one of the things that really matter in life.

People often wish they could somehow change what happened in their past or are terrified of what might happen in our future and we forget to enjoy our present. Don’t do that! Try to make every moment matter because what’s done is done. Make time for the things or for the people you love and make every single moment count! After all, you don’t need all the riches in the world to live a healthy and fulfilled life, just the right attitude!
